The last week in February the students learned about many important African-Americans. They learned about Harriet Tubman, conductor of the Underground Railroad, George Washington Carver, maker of peanut butter, Garrett Morgan, inventor of the traffic light, and Martin Luther King Jr., leader of the civil rights movement just to name a few.
